A fascinating insight into 30 years of the profession Chris – thank you so much for sharing.

I’ve been qualified only half that time and even then I’ve noticed some of the developments. Ive spent most of my time in the military – working already at 9 different units running hugely varied setups – and doing so in 10 different countries with a large variety of people, personalities, nationalities, skills, opinions, specialities, strengths and weaknesses. Amazing to already look back and realise that what ‘binds’ us as a profession is the drive to ‘help’, to make a difference, to motivate and to do all this to the best of our ability!! Let’s face it – we certainly aren’t in it for the money – but you literally can’t put a price on giving something useful back to the world and hopefully making a difference.
